ASU Holds Campiestahan sa Unibersidad 2.0


Loud cheers and yells fill the grounds of Aklan State University - Banga as students from different departments join Campiestahan sa Unibersidad 2.0, a celebration for the 106th Founding Anniversary of the institution, today, April 3.


With the theme, Pagsinadya sa Komunidad, the event aims to celebrate with the students, faculty members and the non-teaching staff through fun-filled activities and games led by the University Student Council.


The celebration commenced through a program initiatied by the USC. Dr. Michael Ibisate, the Banga Campus director, warmly welcomed everyone in his short message.


Meanwhile, Dr. Emily M. Arangote, SUC President II, commended the students for being present and for actively participating on the said event. Furthermore, she reminded the students to ‘ enjoy amidst the heat being experienced and to stay hydrated’. She ends her opening remarks by giving an emphasis that events like this are important as this gives us ‘time to laugh and to cheer’.


The program ended with a unity dance led by the Manduyog Dance Troupe, joined by the students and faculties from different departments.


The second part of the celebration made way to students’ participation in activities such as the Amazing Race, Laro ng Lahi, Open Mic/Karaoke, and Random Dance.
