Ibajay kicks off Ati Tribe and float parade contest

To mark the end of festivities held in honor of the Señor Santo Niño, respective barangays flaunted their creativity and innovative use of materials and resources in the Ati Tribe and Float Parade Contest during the Ibajay Ati-Ati Festival on Sunday, January 28.


Streets were hyped as Ati tribes from the different Barangays danced with their beautiful costumes and Different choreography during the Ati Tribe contest.


Moreover, a total of 9 barangays participated in the Ati Tribe Contest and 21 barangays in the Float Parade showcasing the local culture of Ibajay.


Furthermore, Barangay Naisud was once again hailed as the champion in the Ati Tribe Contest receiving P80,000, while Barangay Laguinbanwa brought home P70,000 for winning the Float Parade.


The contest was one of the highlights of the said event as each barangay prepared for the said contest with a subsidy worth Php. 30,000 for the Ati tribe and Php. 20,000 for the float.
