'Toto Jose,' Ibajay's higante entry, showcasing the town's main source of livelihood defended its title after being hailed as this year's champion once again in Higante Parade and Contest 2024, Kalibo, Aklan, January 18.
Meanwhile, the Municipality of Kalibo clinched the 2nd spot, while Balete, Tangalan, and Buruanga ranked 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively.
Ibajay received a 200,000 peso cash prize, 150,000 for Kalibo, 120,000 for Balete, 100,000 for Tangalan and 80,000 for Buruanga.
Moreover, the other municipalities who joined the contest also received a 60,000 peso consolation prize.
The said event is part of the week-long celebration of the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival, in honor of Senior Santo Niño.
