To develop environmental activities and response, a general orientation for freshmen enrolled in NSTP 2-CWTS was held today, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the ASU Amphitheater, Banga, Aklan.
The said orientation was conducted by the ASU Office of the National Service Training Program — CWTS Component and was headed by its chairman, Dr. Maria Ester Excelsis D. Jaymalin.
The program focused on the discussion of the activities for NSTP 2-CWTS: Environmental Development of ASU Banga Community and Disaster response, its guidelines and procedures upon conducting, the contests included in activities, and the designated areas for this.
According to Dr. Jaymalin, the planned activities will be a way for the students to clean and make their designated areas which are also known as students’ "tambayan", beautiful while also having the time for bonding.
Moreover, she stated that the orientation’s purpose is to lessen the lectures, as it is more of a practicum for the students.
The program ended with an open forum for and by the students to raise their questions and concerns.
