CTE Magisters Secure Back-to-Back Triumph in Paindis-indis '23 Cultural Contest

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) took home the crown they clinched back-to-back victories as the overall champion in the Paindis-indis cultural competition held at Aklan State University-Banga Campus from November 28 to December 1, 2023.


Among the six departments, the Magisters shone brightly, stealing the spotlight and earning cheers with an impressive 192 points.


Meanwhile, SAS Peregrine Falcons flew behind in second with 121 points, closely pursued by CAFES Tamaraws, who earned 98 points securing third.

CAFES Tamaraws Roar Loudest in Paindis-indis 2023 Sports Competition.

The CAFES Tamaraws demonstrated dominance in Paindis-indis 2023 and claimed the spot as this year's Overall Champion for Sports Competition at Aklan State University-Banga Campus, November 28-December 1.

With a remarkable total of 152 points, the Tamaraws demonstrated not only their skills but also their collective strength as a sports powerhouse.

In a nail-biting race for the top spot, the SAS Peregrine Falcons secured the second position with 151 points, while the CTE Magisters claimed the third spot with 150 points.

ASU student bags silver in Asian Pencak Silat Championship

Zandro Fred Jizmundo Jr., a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration student from Aklan State University-Banga Campus, bagged silver in Men’s Regu (Trio) at the 7th Asian Pencak Silat Championship, held at Dubai, United Arab Emirates on November 9-12, 2023.

Moreover, Jizmundo received the award along with his teammates, Rick Rod Ortega, and James El Mayagma.

Jizmundo and his teammates also bagged bronze in Bare Hands Form (Team/Trio) at Kun Bokator Event, Cambodia during the South East Asian Games 2023, last May.
