Buho to BUHO

The iconic Buho has undergone a remarkable transformation, emerging as a grander, more spacious passageway. Found beside the school clinic and the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, "Buho," can now comfortably welcome multiple people coming back and forth.

Buho's reconstruction was initiated by the Physical Plant Development Services and Planning Office. The change was made to bring convenience for the faculty and students to reach local eateries and homes behind the campus.

The Buho 'renovation' took six days to finish, from October 6 to October 12, 2023.

The transformation stirred up quite a buzz among ASU Banga students as they were divided on whether they liked the change to this iconic portal or not.

"I prefer the new buho, because for me it is more convenient especially if you are hungry and in a hurry," said Rain Jersey B. Roque, a 1st year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration student.

Meanwhile, Bryan Julian Gregorio, Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies 2 shared his take on this, "I like the old buho more because it often served as a source of tension. It was where students on opposite ends engaged in friendly rivalries, departmental clashes of who should pass through the mystical portal first."

Renovated or not, Buho will forever be the iconic gateway of ASU-Banga's culture, creating unforgettable memories in the hearts of every student on the campus.

So, what do you think about the BUHO-mazing transformation?
