ASU-Banga holds PE and NSTP Day


Freshmen and sophomores, along with the high school students of ASU-Banga marched and performed at Circular Lawn to kick off PE ad NSTP Day on December 15, 2022.


BANGA, Aklan—Dressed in their respective PE uniforms and attires, freshmen and sophomores together with high school students of Aklan State University-Banga performed their dance routines and chorale during the PE and NSTP Day at ASU Circular Lawn on Thursday, December 15, 2022.


The event was preceded by a colorful parade, preliminaries, and opening remarks from Prof. Zarha P. Restar, Head of the Department of Physical Education, Kinetics, and NSTP as she expressed her gratitude for the good weather condition to kick off the said event.


Dr. Michael T. Ibisate, Campus Director of ASU-Banga, extended his warmest congratulation to the faculty, staff, and students who invested their time in this first culminating activity that commenced after two years of virtual setting.

Meanwhile, Dr. Donna R. Lariosa, SAS Dean, reminded the students of the importance of being physically and mentally healthy in stabilizing overall health and clinching learning at the same time.


Students from five (5) departments; School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), College of Teacher Education (CTE), School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), College of Business and Management (CBM), and College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences (CAFES), along with students from Laboratory High School showcased dance presentations and song numbers in the morning event.

Furthermore, the gift-giving activity and interactive games were attended and participated by students taking the National Service Training Program (NSTP) course transpired in the afternoon at ASU-Amphitheater.
