To celebrate diversity and promote unity the Aklan State University - Banga Campus held its annual ASEAN Month Celebration with the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth" today, August 24.
Various contests were conducted, like the Essay Writing Contest, On-The-Spot Poster Making Contest, Spoken Word Poetry, Quiz Bowl, and the search for Mr. and Ms. ASEAN 2023.
"Primarily, we are Filipinos, remember that. Secondly, we are citizens of ASEAN.", said Dr. Arvin Kim Arnilla, Dean of the College of Teacher Education in his inspirational message.
Dr. Arnilla also added that despite internationalization, students should keep on loving this immensely blessed country, the Philippines.
The said event was spearheaded by the University Student Council and the Office of Student Affairs and Services.
