Aklan State University bagged two (2) awards in the Search for Best Freedom of Information (FOI) Program Implementer organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
Among 4,322 registered FOI officers, Ms. Juna Belle Rosales, FOI Officer of the University, was awarded as one of the eight Best FOI Officers in the Philippines during the FOI Summit and Awards.
"The ASU is taking the open government initiative seriously, adhering transparency to all our public transactions," Ms. Rosales said during the 2022 FOI AWARDS: The Virtual Ceremony via Facebook on Friday, November 25, 2022.
Furthermore, Aklan State University secured the 2nd runner-up in the FOI Champion for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) category.
The FOI Awards is one of our most important events, which honors the achievements of outstanding FOI Advocates and Champions from all over the country for their collective accomplishments, successes, and hopes for the future of the FOI Program.
